This is how Revolver Magazine described e.o.n.'s debut album Spin:

“This is one superb creation. Smooth, subtle, eclectic jazz, fused with mellow grooves and succulent beats. Lilting keyboards, electric samples and a rollicking bass drive.”

Masterminded by Rick Robertson, the saxophonist from internationally acclaimed d.i.g., and co-written and produced by the late Lex Wilson, this project utilised the talents of the cream of the Sydney funk/jazz scene including d.i.g. members Scott Saunders, Sam Dixon and Alex Hewetson.

Spin has now sold over 3000 copies locally and has been released in the UK, France and Germany.

Live, the band kicks some serious butt. With the funkiest line-up of musicians in town including ex digman Rick Robertson on saxophones and Phil Slater on trumpet, Gerard Masters on keyboards, Tim Rollinson on guiitar and the kick-ass rhythm section of Alex Hewetson (Professor Groove, Swoop) on bass, Warren Trout (Marcia Hines, Brothers of OZ) on Drums and Aykho Ahkrif (possibly the finest conga player in the country) on percussion, the band has a truly international flavour.

During the Sydney Olympics in 2000 e.o.n’s sets at Martin Place had the large international crowd dancing in the streets throughout the performances.

e.o.n’s most recent CD The Great Indoors was released May 2002 on Creative Vibes Label. Café Del Mar has included a track on an upcoming release and other tracks appear on local compilations Vibes on a Summers Day, Long Grain Comp and Summer Sojourn.
